Day 2 – 10th June – Congleton to Middlewich

Day2, the team were transported with the boats to the start point (same point as the previous day) and continued on towards Middlewich finishing at the Top Lock pub  and onto Middlewich Masonic hall

Its important to note that on this stage the canal takes a large loop towards Kidsgrove as it descends to the lower Trent and Mersey canal, but at the bridge over there is a staircase on the right taking them down to the Trent and Mersey,which we can take to cut out a superfluous loop.

Unfortunately today sees the team tackle half of the locks on the challenge (28), several low bridges, and the aforementioned steps!!!
